My aim as a coach is to get to know each athlete, their running experience, capacity to train, and work-life balance so I can create personalised training plan specific to their needs and running goals. My own experience as an elite athlete has shown me there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach and has taught me how to cope with ups and downs that come with running. I am like any runner; I have experienced injuries and niggles that can interrupt the flow of training, so I am not a high mileage athlete or coach. I use cross training alongside running to build fitness and strength with a lower injury risk. Being experienced in other disciplines means I can also guide athletes through periods of injury where running is limited or off the cards.
